Dalycoin is a live Daly Ventures project concept for a decentralised venture fund. It explores whether blockchain-based records and participant voting could support how a venture portfolio is funded, governed and managed.
The current focus is the use case and its feasibility. The model below describes proposed features rather than confirmed operating terms.
The use case
A venture fund brings together capital to back businesses. Dalycoin explores a model in which participants could review investment proposals and take part in defined governance decisions, with a token used to record participation or voting rights.
The aim is to make the decision process easier to understand: what is being proposed, who can decide, how a decision is recorded, and how the people managing the fund remain accountable.
How the proposed model could work
Investment proposals: present the business, proposed terms, diligence findings and main risks before a decision.
Defined governance: specify who may vote, how votes are weighted, which decisions are delegated, and how conflicts of interest are handled.
Records and reporting: maintain a clear record of decisions and provide participants with appropriate portfolio and financial reporting.
These are design options. Token mechanics, voting thresholds and management responsibilities would need to be defined in the project terms.
Potential benefits and open decisions
The intended benefits are clearer participation, more transparent decisions and better record-keeping. Ownership rights, custody, security, ongoing administration and any transfer arrangements would need to be addressed separately.
Any profit-sharing or financial-distribution feature would require legal, tax and regulatory review before it could be included in an offering. Such benefits are not confirmed, and no return or liquidity is promised.
Developing the use case
A workable model needs clear participation terms, a defined operating structure, an investment mandate, and a realistic account of costs and risks. Those details should determine the role of the token and the technology used.
